Role title: Volunteer Support Worker (group work)
Location: Gosport
Hours/time commitment: Monday evenings between 4.15 and 7.30pm
What is the role?: To support the delivery of 2 group “youth hubs”. You will support the team to deliver a programme and help young to engage the group in a range of activities.
What does a day in the life of this role look like?: You will arrive at the hub and greet the young people. You will support the staff team to facilitate the delivery of a programme of support including skills based activities, covering a variety of topics including health and wellbeing. You will be an active mentor and role model who will help young people to think about choices.
Are there any key skills, attitudes or experience needed for this role?: Fun, engaging and understanding of the needs of young people.
