Salary: £32,791 – £36,793 per annum (depending on skills, qualification and experience)

Location: Motiv8 office in Portsmouth and in the local community
Reporting to: Head of Quality and Services
Purpose of the job:
To lead a highly motivated staff team that engages, challenges and supports young people and their families, meets the strategic priorities of the organisation and emerging needs. To work with the Head of Safeguarding and Compliance to ensure that delivery within the team is underpinned by robust safeguarding and effective operational policies and procedures. To performance management all aspects of work of specific programmes of work and to work collaboratively with the Leadership team to support business development.
What is the role?:
A Motiv8 Team Leader leads and supports a team of Youth Support Workers to deliver high-quality, targeted interventions for vulnerable and at-risk young people, ensuring effective case management, safeguarding, and positive outcomes, while overseeing assessments, action planning, and performance monitoring, building strong partnerships with external agencies, and providing staff supervision, guidance, and training, alongside managing workloads, maintaining accurate reporting, and driving service development to ensure the team consistently empowers young people to reduce risk, build resilience, and achieve sustained progress in their personal development, education, and future opportunities.
We are looking for 1 experienced Team Leader for our vibrant Portsmouth team. The team deliver a range of services from our dedicated young people’s centre’s, including young people’s mentoring support, targeted group work and community based provision such as youth hubs and detached street based provision. You will be part of a community team, offering a varied programme of activities and opportunities to support young people’s personal, social and emotional development.
