Welcome to Motiv8…
Motiv8 is proud to be a community led, life chance, youth work charity. We are committed to supporting families early with tailored and engaging support.
In line with our purpose, I am committed to ensuring that Motiv8 provides each family with the right support, at the right time, and in a way that is right for them. I also take seriously the welfare of our wonderful youth workers, staff, and volunteers.
We want colleagues to feel empowered and ready to cultivate crucial trusted relationships. This the right thing to do but, much like our place-based investments, it is not without cost. We must focus clearly on creating meaningful impact and delivering as efficiently as possible for those who we support.
I am so proud to lead this brilliant charity and its dedicated, expert team who are committed to quality. Our place is to work at the edges of society with those sometimes overlooked. It is the commitment of every person in Motiv8 to share the stories of these amazing young people and families in a way that empowers them.
Motiv8 is embedded at the heart of our communities allowing us to respond early and be there for as long as we are needed. We are excited to see the ambitions we set out in this strategy result in positive change in the places we are proud to be a part of.
Thank you for your support!
Kirsty Robertson, CEO

Our Strategic Plan: 2025 – 2028
Our Strategic plan 2025 – 2028 has been shaped by the voice of young people. An exciting vision for positive change this is a strategy to ensure we continue our journey in the strongest possible way. We have a plan and we are better prepared than ever to deliver where need is greatest.
Investors in People (IIP) Platinum
Motiv8 have been part of the Investors in People (IIP) quality mark since 2000. In 2024, after holding Gold status for four years, we secured a Platinum accreditation. In the top 5% places to work nationally this is the highest grading IIP can give, and we are only one of two charities in the country to be awarded this level

This means policies and practices around supporting people are embedded in every corner of Motiv8. In a platinum company, everyone – from the CEO to a Student Support Worker – knows they have a part to play in the company doing well, and is always looking for ways to improve.
The IIP Platinum accreditation demonstrates a true culture of trust and communication as well as commitment to continuous improvement in every part of the charity.

Our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
Motiv8 believes to enable and empower young people, families and communities to thrive, equality, diversity and inclusion needs to be at the heart of all we do. We want to create an environment that brings together and embraces a diverse range of backgrounds, perspectives, skills and experiences.
Beyond the legal duty, Motiv8 acknowledge that it is important to treat everyone with respect and to aim for a diverse workforce, where different viewpoints are heard and better solutions developed. We want to ensure that we provide a high-quality service to all of our beneficiaries and aim to understand and empathise with a diverse group of people with changing needs. We aim to reflect the communities that we are in, to provide better understanding and trust and to develop and maintain those relationships
