Role Title: Sports Volunteer
Location: Gosport
Hours/time commitment: Mondays and Wednesdays during school Summer holidays (July and August 2025) between 10am and 4pm
What is the role?: Supporting on our Holiday, Activity and Food (HAF) scheme, you will support the team in delivering a fun day of activities to children aged 8 – 14 years, who are on free school meals and your focus will be on supporting with sports and physical activities
What does a day in the life of this role look like?: You will join other team members in running 4 x 45 minute sport activities across the day with up to 10 young people at a time. This can include running an activity you are passionate about, supporting them to engage and to understand the benefits of physical activity. Sports can range from badminton, yoga, football, circuit training and anything in-between!
Are there any key skills, attitudes or experience needed for this role?: A passion and interest in sports, patience supporting young people who may not be confident. However, you will not be supporting any young person alone. An enhanced level DBS is required for this role and if successful, we will support you in gaining this.
